Emily was living at Albion Hotel in Normanton circa 1930 to 1943 where she was described as a licensed victualler.
She lived at 153 Lake Street Cairns in 1950.

When Emily certified the death of her mother in writing, she was recorded as living at Paddy's Lagoon Hotel

63 years, 9 months and 9 days after Emily died, her grandson, Greg DAVIS, visited and photographed the grave in Charter`s Towers Cemetery

Owing to the explosion of a small carbide lamp on Friday night, Mrs. McDougall, of the Albion Hotel, Normanton, and her daughter Esther, sustained nasty burns. The former had also a finger badly cut. Carbide is "off" at this pub for the present at any rate.

Mrs Lee and daughter and Miss Ada Johns were passengers to Normanton by Tuesday's Panhard. Mrs Lee has purchased McDougall's Albion Hotel in Normanton.
Mrs McDougall, who came to Croydon to meet Mrs Lee, returned to Normanton by the Panhard on Tuesday.

INCOME TAX CASES.
The undermentioned persons were proceeded against in the Summons Court on Thursday, before Mr. H. L. Archdall, C.P.M., for having failed to furnish Income tax returns and information to the Commissioner of Taxes (State) and the Deputy Federal Commissioner of Taxation, fines being inflicted as fellows:
Mrs. Emily McDougall, hotelkeeper, Normanton, 30 pounds, costs and Michael Castello, Herberton: Hugo Howe, butcher, Blackall; Joseph Lemura, Babinda ; John Henry McLean, Gordonvale; Frank J. Mullavey, cordial manufacturer, Roma, 2 pound each.
Costs of court 3s. 6d. were allowed against each defendant, except where otherwise slated.
Mr. R. J. J. Hart (Taxation Office) conducted the proceedings.
